SB-6715 SurfacePRO RTU is a proprietary two-part, clear, aliphatic urethane sealer and joint sand stabilizer. SB-6715 is specially formulated with an antifungal designed to help inhibit the growth of mold, moss, and algae on the sealer film when applied to horizontal or vertical surfaces. SB-6715 is a multi-use product: it enhances with a semi-gloss finish, provides good surface protection and joint sand stabilization. This product can be used inside and outside on old and new surfaces. Optimal results when performing same day cleaning, sanding, and sealing with SB-6715, can be achieved when following the recommended application process. SB-6715 provides a non-yellowing protective layer on the surface that is durable and resistant to mild acid, alkali, chemicals, and salt attacks. SB-6715 will increase the stain resistance of the surface and allow easier cleaning, maintenance, and extended wear. On new concrete, mortar, grout, or overlays, it is recommended to wait 7 days before applying SB-6715 to allow for curing. SB-6715 is a water-based two-component product that requires mixing and should not be diluted. Once mixed, it has the consistency of water and is milky white when applied and dries clear. Cured sealer is freeze resistant to -60°F (-51°C) and is stable up to a temperature of 180°F (-51°C).

Suitable Surfaces
Ideal for concrete and clay pavers, flat and stamped concrete, or natural and manufactured stone. Also suitable for masonry, retaining walls, porous or unglazed tile, and terrazzo. Recommended for high traffic areas where high durability and superior chemical resistance is desired. NOT recommended for marble, granite, ceramic tile, or porcelain.
A test area is always recommended to determine product suitability and compatibility with your specific surface before use and also if desired results are achievable. Due to the inherent variability of natural stone and clay products, long term performance may vary. Please consult with us prior to sealing if there are concerns.
Preparation
TEST FIRST on a small inconspicuous area to determine the suitability and if desired results are achievable with this product on your specific surface. The surface should be thoroughly clean and free from oil, dust, loose material, and previously applied sealer. Remove and kill the growth of any mold, mildew, fungus, or algae prior to the application of sealer. If needed, prepare the surface with Surebond Cleaners before sealing. When using SB-6715 as a sealer without joint stabilization, it can be applied to a damp surface with no ponding or pooling of water present. For applications with joint stabilization, allow the surface to dry. Cover/protect nearby landscape, vehicles, and buildings from overspray during application.
Preparation for Joint Stabilization
The surface must be dry for ease of installation. For optimal joint stabilization, the paver joints should be no more than ¾” wide and filled with dry correctly graded joint sand that meets the ASTM C144 standard. The top level of the sand should not exceed the bottom of the chamfer or 1/8” below the surface on non-beveled or tumbled paver surfaces. Compaction is recommended after sweeping sand into joints to minimize voids in sand joints. Use a vibratory compactor with a neoprene pad or vibratory roller to consolidate the joints and. A leaf blower is recommended to remove dust, debris, and fine particles from the surface before sealing. Do not use wet joint sand because it will severely diminish joint stabilization
Full Kit Mixing Instructions
SB-6715 is a two-part product that comes packaged in a kit which contains one five-gallon pail with 4.75 gallons of Part A and one-quart container of Part B.
Tools Needed:
• Variable Speed Drill
• Paddle Mixer
Mixing Instructions:
1. Blend the container of Part B into the pail of Part A with a drill and paddle mixer on low speed for 1-2 minutes. Do not whip air into the mixture.
Yields 5 gallons of ready to use SB-6715.
Pot Life: SB-6715 Mixture (combined Parts A and B) has a pot life of 90 minutes which varies based on temperature and humidity. Do not mix more material than can be used in a 90 minute period. Do not store SB-6715 Mixture. If less than the entire kit is needed, see Project Calculator for more information.
Application
Apply when day and night temperatures are between 45°F – 95°F. To cool hot surfaces, mist with water without ponding or pooling prior to applying SB-6715. Avoid windy conditions to keep sealer spray from drifting. SB-6715 is a two-part product: read and follow the Mixing Instructions before applying. Use product coverage calculator to determine the amount of material required for the project; material coverage will depend on the surface type and its porosity. Apply SB-6715 with low pressure, high volume sprayer such as an airless sprayer or handheld garden sprayer (pump-up). Do not apply too thick to avoid air bubbles in the sealer film. Saturate the surface to ensure proper penetration. Use a squeegee or foam roller to provide uniform coverage over the entire surface area and to remove excess sealer. For exterior applications with joint stabilization, the surface and joints should be flood coated using low pressure, high volume sprayer following the coverage guidelines. Use a soft foam squeegee to direct excess sealer into the joints. It is recommended to back-roll to even out the sealer on textured or uneven surfaces to eliminate pooling. For optimal performance, a second application should be applied. The second coat should be applied as soon as practical after the first application has visually cleared and is dry to the touch, which is usually within one hour. The second application must be applied prior to full cure (see Dry Time for more information). With interior applications, SB-6715 may be carefully sprayed or applied with a slit foam roller taking care not to roll back and forth excessively. NOTE: To minimize slipperiness on travertine, pool decks, and very smooth surfaces, use an anti-slip additive.
Dry Time
The surface will be dry to the touch in 1-2 hours assuming the air temperature is between 65°F – 85°F at 50% relative humidity. Low surface or air temperature will extend dry time. Protect the surface from dust, rain, condensation, and traffic while drying. Full cure will take 24 – 36 hours depending on weather and site conditions. Once the surface has visually cleared and dried to the touch, the area can be open to foot traffic in 24 hours and vehicular traffic in 48 hours depending on weather and site conditions.
Clean Up
For tools and equipment, use soap and water before the product is allowed to dry.
